Grant Memorial Chapel hosted the March 10th Early Bird Breakfast for the Grant Chamber of Commerce at Porky's Restaurant. Mike Sartin, general manager of the Sand Mountain Family Funeral Homes, spoke about the changes at Grant Memorial Chapel. James McLain and Craig Henshaw along with Chris McCord will assist families with funeral needs. Regena Glasgow is office manager at Grant Memorial Chapel.
Ashley Hubbard, Team Captain of the 2011 Grant Relay for Life Team encouraged members to support fundraising efforts for the event. "Kiss the Jack" is a local Relay for Life competition where local personalities raise donations for American Cancer Society. Whoever raises the most money gets to Kiss the Jack at the kick off activities for the Grant Relay for Life Walk/Run on Saturday April 30 1pm at Grant Park Pavilion 2. Everyone is welcome to attend this community event - sign up at Peoples State Bank - $25.00 donation includes Grant Relay Team Tshirt, bottled water & power snack!
